Why a cat cafe?
We’ve partnered with the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society. If you fall in love with one of the cats at our cafe, you can apply to adopt them!
Spending time with cats has been proven to provide people with positive health benefits —mentally and emotionally. Adopting is a socially responsible act and provides loving homes to animals who need them most.
Not everyone has the ability to have a cat at home. This way, they can visit a furry friend any time!
What to Expect:
You can count on a homey, comfortable environment, whether or not you’re seeking the company of a kitty.
Our cats have their own separate area to live their best life in a stress-free environment.
On the menu is an assortment of coffee drinks using beans from our friends at Coffea Roasterie. Our house roast is a Brazilian blend known as the Globetrotter.
If you’re looking for a bite to eat, we offer food items like cupcakes, cookies, finger sandwiches, charcuterie boards and salads.
Our decor was chosen specifically with comfort and modern style in mind, making us the perfect backdrop for a relaxing morning or afternoon hangout.
Our Story
Owner Heather Wendlandt is an animal lover with a passion for cats and the community.
She wanted to create a relaxing space — one that combines the comforts of a cozy coffee shop and provides a humane space for animals.
She noticed that other large cities had their own cat cafes, and in 2022, she decided that Sioux Falls was ready for its very own.
Building began over the course of 2022 and into 2023. The Cattitude Cafe officially opened its doors on July 15th, 2023.
